A Tunable Trifluoromethyliodonium Reagent

Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2019
AbstractFour complexes of MCl4 (M=Ti, Zr, Hf) with the hypervalent trifluoromethyl iodine reagent trifluoromethyl‐1,3‐dihydro‐3,3‐dimethyl‐1,2‐benziodoxole (1,=L) are described. With TiCl4, an I−O bond cleavage occurs, leading to the formation of the trifluoromethyliodonium alcoholate complexes [Ti2Cl6(L)4]Cl2 (2 a) and Ti2Cl8(L) (2 b).

Titration of Reagents

2009
This chapter examines in detail the necessary practical skills needed to facilitate the development and sustainability of ELISAs. Basic methodologies to set up all systems are discussed so that the reader can both investigate the possibilities of tests using his or her reagents and use with confidence the reagents obtained from other sources.

The Reagent Makers

Chemical & Engineering News Archive, 2013
Academic chemists have many yardsticks for measuring success: publications, patents, citations, awards. But professors know they’ve really made it when a chemical invented in their lab makes it into the pages of a reagent catalog. Whether it’s the behemoth “Aldrich Handbook of Fine Chemicals,” which lists more than 40,000 compounds sold by Sigma ...
