Тhe study of the effect of sublimation temperature of metals on their ice-forming properties under high relative humidity conditions

open access: yesНаука. Инновации. Технологии
Clusters of nanofibers of metal oxides serve the object of the research. The paper studies the ice-forming properties of clusters of nanofibers of zinc, aluminum oxide.

Influence of low tumor content on tumor mutational burden estimation by whole‐exome sequencing and targeted panel sequencing

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, 2021
Background Tumor mutational burden (TMB) is a promising biomarker for stratifying patient subpopulation who would benefit from immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) therapies.

Method of neutralizing the corrosive surface of amine-cured epoxy resins [PDF]

open access: yes, 1982
The corrosive alkaline surface layer of an epoxy resin product formed by the curing of the epoxy with an aliphatic amine is eliminated by first applying a non-solvent to remove most or all of the free unreacted amine and then applying a layer of a ...

A Selected Ion Flow Tube Study of the Reactions of Several Cations with the Group 6B Hexafluorides SF6, SeF6, and TeF6 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The first investigation of the ion chemistry of SeF\(_6\) and TeF\(_6\) is presented. Using a selected ion flow tube, the thermal rate coefficients and ion product distributions have been determined at 300 K for the reactions of fourteen atomic and ...

Cancer cell death induced by the NAD antimetabolite Vacor discloses the antitumor potential of SARM1

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Vacor, a compound converted into the toxic metabolite Vacor adenine dinucleotide (VAD) by the nicotinamide salvage pathway enzymes NAMPT and NMNAT2, exhibits antitumor activity by inducing rapid and complete NAD depletion. We report that Vacor toxicity is limited to cell lines expressing high levels of SARM1, a NAD glycohydrolase.

Development of an etching paste [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The recovery of erased identification marks is a problem for the forensic scientist, particularly with respect to vehicles and firearms. The widely accepted procedure for steel imprints is to use Fry's reagent.

4‐nitrobenzoate inhibits 4‐hydroxybenzoate polyprenyltransferase in malaria parasites and enhances atovaquone efficacy

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Atovaquone is an antimalarial requiring potentiation for sufficient efficacy. We pursued strategies to enhance its activity, showing that 4‐nitrobenzoate inhibits 4‐hydroxybenzoate polyprenyltransferase, decreasing ubiquinone biosynthesis. Since atovaquone competes with ubiquinol in mitochondria, 4‐nitrobenzoate facilitates its action, potentiating ...

Solar photolysis of water [PDF]

open access: yes, 1977
Hydrogen is produced by the solar photolysis of water in a first photooxidation vessel with a transparent wall in the presence of a water soluble photooxidizable reagent and an insoluble hydrogen recombination catalyst.

The IQ‐compete assay for measuring mitochondrial protein import efficiencies in living yeast cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The efficiency of mitochondrial protein import depends on the properties of the newly synthesized precursor proteins. The Import and de‐Quenching Competition (IQ‐compete) assay is a novel method to monitor the import efficiency of different proteins by fluorescence in living yeast cells.
