Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Silenes: Novel Reagents for Organic Synthesis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Whilst silenes have long been studied for their unique chemistry there has been little attempt to exploit this in other synthetic strategies. As part of a programme to explore this aspect the reactions of readily accessible silenes with alkenes and ...

Efficiency of two available kits for amplification of three EGFR SNPs in patients with NSCLC: 181946 G/A (rs2293347), -191 C/A (rs712830) and -216G/T (rs712829) with GC-rich regions

open access: yesБюллетень сибирской медицины
Aim. To conduct a comparative analysis of two available kits that contain all necessary reagents and additives in a single reaction mixture, including 100 mM Tris-НCl, 100 mM KCL, 4 mM MgSO4, 0.2% of Tween 20, for the amplification of the three most ...

Use of Lateral Flow Immunoassay to Characterize SARS-CoV-2 RBD-Specific Antibodies and Their Ability to React with the UK, SA and BR P.1 Variant RBDs

open access: yesDiagnostics, 2021
Identifying anti-spike antibodies that exhibit strong neutralizing activity against current dominant circulating variants, and antibodies that are escaped by these variants, has important implications in the development of therapeutic and diagnostic ...

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

The Synthesis of Three Chelating Reagents Derived from Chloric Acid [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
Three cholic acid derived chelating reagents were synthesized. They were synthesized by the attachment of existing chelating ligands onto the side chain of cholic acid via a spacer chain which connects cholic acid and chelate.

Reversibility of the Hardening Process of Plinthite and Petroplinthite in Soils of the Araguaia River Floodplain under Different Treatments

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Ciência do Solo, 2018
Although ferruginous materials occur frequently in soils of tropical regions, information about the reversal of the hardening process of these materials is scarce.

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.
