Real-time rotational image registration
2017 18th International Conference on Advanced Robotics (ICAR), 2017The majority of approaches for rotationally aligning panoramic images use feature-based methods which extract and match visual clues in both images and analytically determine their rotational offset. However, these methods can be computationally expensive and might suffer from motion blur or images taken in structureless environments (e.g. forests). An

In vivo, real‐time confocal imaging
Journal of Electron Microscopy Technique, 1991AbstractWe have adapted a tandem scanning confocal microscope for real‐time, non‐invasive imaging of cells under in vivo conditions. This form of in vivo confocal imaging relies on the optical sectioning abilities of the confocal microscope to obtain en face, sequential, reflected light images of cells at various depths, up to 1 mm, within opaque ...

The real time endoscopic image analysis
SPIE Proceedings, 2017A new method for endoscopic image analysis in real time is presented. This method allows improving accuracy and helps avoiding subjectivity when performing endoscopic image classification. The method is based on use of Scale– invariant feature transform detector and computation of gastric mucosa pit–pattern skeletons.

Spectral image processing in real-time
Journal of Real-Time Image Processing, 2006The fields of classical image processing and optical spectroscopy developed independently since a long time. While the first subject deals with pictorial information that uses the description of material by their surfaces in terms of brightness, texture and color depending on the illumination in the two dimensional field of view of the optics, the ...

Real-Time Omnidirectional Image Sensors
International Journal of Computer Vision, 2004Conventional T.V. cameras are limited in their field of view. A real-time omnidirectional camera which can acquire an omnidirectional (360 degrees) field of view at video rate and which could be applied in a variety of fields, such as autonomous navigation, telepresence, virtual reality and remote monitoring, is presented.

FETAL EVALUATION BY REAL-TIME IMAGING
Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1977The application of real-time imaging to the study of fetal morphology and function is an exciting advance. Rapid accurate study of fetal dynamics is possible with this apparently safe, noninvasive technique. Animal studies have revealed the general physiology of fetal breathing movements, which are now under extensive investigation with real-time ...

Real-time image deconvolution on the GPU
SPIE Proceedings, 2011Two-dimensional image deconvolution is an important and well-studied problem with applications to image deblurring and restoration. Most of the best deconvolution algorithms use natural image statistics that act as priors to regularize the problem. Recently, Krishnan and Fergus provide a fast deconvolution algorithm that yields results comparable to ...

Real-Time Dehazing for Image and Video
2010 18th Pacific Conference on Computer Graphics and Applications, 2010Outdoor photography and computer vision tasks often suffer from bad weather conditions, observed objects lose visibility and contrast due to the presence of atmospheric haze, fog, and smoke. In this paper, we propose a new method for real-time image and video dehazing.

Real Time Image Processing and Real Time Image Rendering for Televirtuality Application
1998Televirtuality is a concept expressing the merging of telecommunications and computer graphics. This technique allows the creation of “virtual communities” based on networked virtual worlds and virtual agents. These “agents” or “clones” are 3D computer generated images of the real persons involved in the network communication.
