Hijacking the Host Clock: A Nematode Effector Antagonizes Soybean Circadian Defense and Translation Control

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Soybean employs its circadian clock, governed by GmCCA1, to rhythmically defend against soybean cyst nematodes. The pathogen retaliates by secreting the effector Hg4E02, which hijacks the clock to suppress defense and co‐opt the host's translation machinery for nutrient acquisition.

Stepwise Optimization of Real-Time RT-PCR Analysis.

Methods in molecular biology, 2023
Quantitative real-time reverse transcription PCR (qRT-PCR) analysis has been used routinely to quantify gene expression levels. Primer design and the optimization of qRT-PCR parameters are critical for the accuracy and reproducibility of qRT-PCR analysis.

Quantification of mRNA using real-time RT-PCR

Nature Protocols, 2006
The real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) addresses the evident requirement for quantitative data analysis in molecular medicine, biotechnology, microbiology and diagnostics and has become the method of choice for the quantification of mRNA.

Real-time RT-PCR for norovirus screening in shellfish.

Journal of Virological Methods, 2005
Real-time RT-PCR, combining amplification and detection of virus-specific amplicons, is a promising tool for norovirus detection in environmental or food samples such as shellfish. We developed a real-time RT-PCR assay based on one-step detection using single primer sets and probes for norovirus genogroups I and II.

Quantitative real-time RT-PCR assay for PCA3

Clinical Biochemistry, 2008
To develop a quantitative, internally standardized real-time RT-PCR assay for prostate cancer antigen 3 (PCA3), a non-translated gene found to be prostate-specific and highly overexpressed in cancer, and examine the role of PCA3 in peripheral blood with a small sample cohort. The RT-PCR assay for PCA3 is based on target-specific lanthanide probes ...

Identification of nasal blood by real-time RT-PCR

Legal Medicine, 2012
A new approach for the identification of body fluid stains by comparing specific mRNA expression levels has been extensively studied in recent years. Here, we examine whether nasal blood, which is regarded as one of the most difficult types of blood to identify, can be identified by comparing mRNA expression levels of target genes specific to saliva ...
