Real convergence and integration [PDF]

open access: yes
The study is based on the critical observations that competitive market forces alone are not able to assure convergence with the developed countries.

Romania’s Euro Area Accession: The Question is Under What Terms! [PDF]

open access: yesRomanian Journal of European Affairs, 2017
Euro area (EA) accession should mainly depend on the achievement of a critical mass of real and structural convergence, which should diminish the risks to operate in an incomplete monetary union.

Correlation Analysis between Nominal and Real Convergence. The Romanian Case [PDF]

open access: yesTheoretical and Applied Economics, 2006
This study aims to analyze the sources of the correlation between the nominal and real convergence, as well as the impact of the macroeconomic politics on it.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

ROMANIA – BETWEEN THE REAL CONVERGENCE AIM AND THE REALITY OF TERRITORIAL CONCENTRATION OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT [PDF]

open access: yesStrategii Manageriale, 2015
In contrast with the nominal convergence, the real convergence in the process of accession to the European Single market is a complex process and still not clarified enough from the methodology point of view.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

ROMANIA: CLIMBING THE LADDER FOR A BETTER FUTURE. WHEN WILL IT REACH EU AND EURO AREA? [PDF]

open access: yesAnalele Universităţii Constantin Brâncuşi din Târgu Jiu : Seria Economie, 2011
In this paper we assess the evolution of Romania’s economic convergence with the European Union (EU) and Euro area, during the period 2000-2010. In order to determine the number of years required to reach the EU and Euro area average, we employ an ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

ECONOMIC GROWTH AND CONVERGENCE IN THE EUROPEAN UNION [PDF]

open access: yesAnalele Universităţii Constantin Brâncuşi din Târgu Jiu : Seria Economie, 2009
In the convergence programme approved by the Hungarian government in September 2006, the "overriding objective" was to promote real convergence. This paper analyses the problems surrounding real convergence, in light of the broader correlations of ...
