Discrepancy in the sign of temperature trends in reanalysis datasets
Reanalysis datasets provide spatially and temporally complete climate fields and are widely used as observational surrogates. Temperature trends from these datasets underpin numerous geoscience studies, yet the alignment of their directional trends with ...

S100A8/A9‐high macrophages are markedly enriched in the stenotic intestinal tissue of patients with Crohn's disease. These profibrotic macrophages secrete mCCL6 in a STAT3‐dependent manner. mCCL6 and its human ortholog hCCL15 activate fibroblasts via the CCR1 receptor, thereby driving excessive collagen deposition.

Astrocytic FABP5 promotes mitochondrial stress, cGAS‐STING pathway activation, pyroptosis, and neuroinflammation in epilepsy, contributing to seizure pathology. Genetic targeting of FABP5 or pharmacological inhibition of STING alleviates epileptic phenotypes, highlighting a potential therapeutic strategy for epilepsy.

Reanalysis of data from the Million Women Study [PDF]
I was very pleased to see the article by Shapiro and colleagues1 that was published online in the Journal of Family Planning and Reproductive Health Care in February 2012 (and that appears in print in this issue) but dismayed to see the emotional response from epidemiologists.2 This reanalysis of data from the so-called ‘Million Women’ study3 raises ...
