De l’apparente perpétuité des blocages politiques libanais

open access: yesEchoGéo, 2007
Will Lebanon know peace soon ? It is quite tempting to doubt it. Almost three years since the assassination of the former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri and the withdrawal of the Syrian army, the country is still prey to internal struggle reflecting the ...

Does Participating in Agricultural Global Value Chains Promote Agricultural Growth?

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines the relationship between GVC participation and agricultural value‐added growth in 43 countries over the period 1995–2022. In contrast to prior literature, we disaggregate the agricultural sector into four sub‐sectors namely crop cultivation, animal production, forestry and fishing.

Eine andere Ordnung der Dinge? Foucault, Baudrillard und die Kybernetik

Machine Learning‐Enhanced Random Matrix Theory Design for Human Immunodeficiency Virus Vaccine Development

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This study integrates random matrix theory (RMT) and principal component analysis (PCA) to improve the identification of correlated regions in HIV protein sequences for vaccine design. PCA validation enhances the reliability of RMT‐derived correlations, particularly in small‐sample, high‐dimensional datasets, enabling more accurate detection of ...

The lowering of high vowels before [r] in Latin

open access: yesPapers in Historical Phonology, 2020
This paper discusses a putative sound change in the early history of Latin and synchronic alternations apparently related to it. The lowering of short high vowels before the rhotic is problematic on several counts; so much so that serious doubt has been ...

Calibration‐Free Electromyography Motor Intent Decoding Using Large‐Scale Supervised Pretraining

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Calibration‐free electromyography motor intent decoding is enabled through large‐scale supervised pretraining across heterogeneous datasets. A Spatially Aware Feature‐learning Transformer processes variable channel counts and electrode geometries, allowing transfer across users and recording setups. On a held‐out benchmark, fine‐tuned cross‐user models

El movimiento de enero de 1932: ¿insurrección cenetista o asalto anarquista al poder sindical?

open access: yesLes Cahiers de Framespa, 2017

A New Reason for Doubting the Riemann Hypothesis [PDF]

open access: yesExperimental Mathematics, 2019
We make plausible the existence of counterexamples to the Riemann hypothesis located in the neighbourhood of unusually large peaks of $\vert ζ\vert$. The main ingredient in our argument is an identity which links the zeros of a function $f$ defined on the interval $[-a,a]$ and the values of its derivatives of odd order at $\pm a$.

Lidar‐Based Object Tracking of Traffic Participants with Sensor Nodes in Existing Urban Infrastructure

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This paper presents a lidar‐based sensor node design and a rule‐based state observer for edge‐based traffic participant tracking. Unlike other state‐of‐the‐art methods, this state observer enables real‐time, CPU‐only edge processing without relying on machine learning approaches.
