Structural Aspects of the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor Required for Transmodulation of erbB-2/neu [PDF]
The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGF-R) is known to transmodulate the activity and level of the erbB-2/neu protein in several epithelial cell lines. We therefore determined which structural features of the EGF-R were important in transmodulating erbB-2.

Molecular characterization of the A52 murine hepatocellular carcinoma cell line
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a poor outcome cancer with limited therapeutic choices. To advance therapeutic development we genetically characterized the A52 murine HCC cell line. We noted genetic changes that match a subset of human HCC and this offers the opportunity to test novel targeted therapies in syngeneic mice.

Amivantamab Monotherapy for Lung Adenocarcinoma With Leptomeningeal Seeding: A Case Report. [PDF]
We report a case of a patient with NSCLC who developed leptomeningeal seeding (LMS) after failure of first‐line therapy and showed a marked clinical and radiologic response to amivantamab monotherapy. ABSTRACT Non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is characterised by a number of driver mutations, among which epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) exon 20

Identification of the zinc finger 216 (ZNF216) in human carcinoma cells. A potential regulator of EGFR activity [PDF]
Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR), a member of the ErbB family of receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) proteins, is aberrantly expressed or deregulated in tumors and plays pivotal roles in cancer onset and metastatic progression.

The Catalytic Activity of the ErbB-2 Receptor Tyrosine Kinase Is Essential for Embryonic Development [PDF]
Activation of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) family is thought to play a critical role in both embryogenesis and oncogenesis. The diverse biological activities of the EGFR family are achieved through various ligand-receptor and receptor-receptor interactions. One receptor that has been found to play a central role in this signaling network

ABSTRACT This study explored fasting‐induced physiological remodeling effects on meat quality in aged laying hens. Fasting for 15 days (F15) significantly reduced abdominal fat, intermuscular fat width, subcutaneous fat thickness, and liver index versus pre‐fasting (F0) (p < 0.05), which recovered post‐refeeding.

Functional impairment of human resident cardiac stem cells by the cardiotoxic antineoplastic agent trastuzumab [PDF]
Trastuzumab (TZM), a monoclonal antibody against the ERBB2 protein, increases survival in ERBB2-positive breast cancer patients. Its clinical use, however, is limited by cardiotoxicity. We sought to evaluate whether TZM cardiotoxicity involves inhibition

We assembled National Cancer Center–Clinical Diagnostics Knowledgebase, a clinical genomic knowledgebase of 6935 tumors with matched normal samples, revealing key somatic alterations and actionable variants (70.2% of the cohort). Enrichment of certain different gene mutations was observed between Chinese and American populations, along with a strong ...
