Dysregulation of Platelet-Derived Growth Factor β-Receptor Expression by ΔNp73 in Neuroblastoma

Molecular Cancer Research, 2009
Abstract We have previously characterized how p53 family proteins control the transcriptional regulation of the platelet-derived growth factor β-receptor (PDGFRB) and found that ΔNp73α, acting dominant-negatively to p53 and p73, can upregulate PDGFRB promoter activity.

Transforming growth factor-beta 1 regulates platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta subunit in human liver fat-storing cells.

Hepatology (Baltimore, Md.), 1995
Activated liver fat-storing cells (FSC) are known to play a key role in the development of liver fibrosis. An important element in FSC activation process is the increased expression of receptors for platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), a potent mitogen for FSC.

A Rapid Bioassay for Platelet–Derived Growth Factor β-Receptor Tyrosine Kinase Function

Bio/Technology, 1994
We have extended a melanophore-based bioassay for G-protein coupled receptors to include the functional expression of the murine platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) beta-receptor. The homodimeric ligand PDGF-BB induced activation of the transiently expressed receptor in melanophore cells.

Platelet-derived growth factor receptor (beta-subunit) immunoreactivity in soft tissue tumors.

Laboratory investigation; a journal of technical methods and pathology, 1992
Using a well characterized monoclonal antibody (PR7212) to the beta-subunit of the platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGF-R(beta) and the avidin-biotin peroxidase method on frozen sections, we analyzed PDGF-R(beta) expression in 71 nonepithelial lesions as well as normal mesenchymal tissues.

To investigate the expression and distribution of platelet derived growth factor receptor-beta(PDGFR-beta) in normal skin and keloid and to discuss its biological function in keloid formation.1. To detect the expression and distribution of PDGFR-beta in normal skin and keloid tissue by immunohistochemistry; 2. To detect the receptor expression in vitro
