Lyn and Fyn function as molecular switches that control immunoreceptors to direct homeostasis or inflammation

Src-family kinases Fyn and Lyn are signaling components downstream of ITAM-bearing antigen receptors. Here the authors show that by phosphorylating SHP-1 at different residues, Lyn and Fyn can have opposing regulatory effects on ITAM receptors.

Pharmacological chromatin remodeling enhances response to estrogen therapy in ER+ breast cancer

Estrogen therapy elicits clinical benefit in ~ 30% of patients with endocrine‐resistant estrogen receptor (ER)‐positive breast cancer. Based on findings that ER transcriptional activation underlies response to estrogen therapy, we tested the effects of epigenetic dysregulation via pharmacological inhibition of histone deacetylases (HDACi).

Importin 7 mediates the nuclear import of HIV‐1 integrase via a specific interacting interface
