Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Global analysis of neuropeptide receptor conservation across phylum Nematoda
Background The phylum Nematoda is incredibly diverse and includes many parasites of humans, livestock, and plants. Peptide-activated G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) are central to the regulation of physiology and numerous behaviors, and they ...

Glycine and γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) are the major determinants of inhibition in the central nervous system (CNS). These neurotransmitters target glycine and GABAA receptors, respectively, which both belong to the Cys-loop superfamily of pentameric ...

Dynorphin A(1-8): stability and implications for in vitro opioid activity
The opioid binding profile and in vitro activity of the endogenous opioid peptide dynorphin A(1-8) have been studied. At opioid receptors in guinea-pig brain dynorphin A(1-8) was nonselective, although with some preference for the delta receptor (Ki 4.6

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Antisera specific for D(2) dopamine-receptors
Antisera have been raised against two peptides from the sequence of D2 dopamine receptors: peptide 1 from the predicted second extracellular loop and peptide 2 from the predicted third intracellular loop. The antisera recognize specifically a 95 kDa band

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

The drugs, interacting with opiate receptors, and their application in gastroenterological practice
The aim of review. To present information on the drugs nowadays used in gastroenterology, that interact with opiate receptors. Original positions. Opiate receptors in the body have been discovered about 35 years ago.
