Characteristics of endometrial receptivity in women with different endometrial thickness

open access: yesАкушерство, гинекология и репродукция, 2022
Aim: to evaluate the expression of estrogen (ER) and progesterone (PR) receptors in the endometrium during the "implantation window" in women with a history of reproductive dysfunction with different endometrial thickness.Materials and Methods.

Immunohistochemical studies of the uterine wall in bitches with different states of the reproductive system [PDF]

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences
Dysfunctions of the reproductive system in bitches are a severe problem. Studies were conducted to understand the main differences in the receptor activity of immunocompetent cells in the different conditions of the reproductive system to determine the ...

The value of the expression of endometrial receptors for steroid hormones in patients with endometriosis

open access: yesJournal of Education, Health and Sport, 2020
Aim: To elucidate the nature of the expression of progesterone receptors (PR) and estrogen receptors (ER) of the endometrium in patients with endometriosis in order to study the effect of endometriosis therapy on endometrial receptors while taking ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Unique expression patterns of the embryonal stem cell marker SOX2 and hormone receptors suggest the existence of a subpopulation of epithelial stem/progenitor cells in porcine and bovine endometrium

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, 2022
Background There are currently insufficient data on the population of endometrial epithelial stem/progenitor cells in farm animals. Objectives With the aim of identifying a potential population of epithelial stem/progenitor cells in the porcine and ...

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...
