NF90–NF45 functions as a negative regulator of methyltransferase‐like 3/14 (METTL3/14)‐mediated N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) modification on primary microRNAs (pri‐miRNAs). NF90–NF45 binds to anti‐oncogenic pri‐miRNAs and inhibits their m6A modification, thereby suppressing the biogenesis of anti‐oncogenic miRNAs.

Transcription factor LSF facilitiates lysine methylation of α-tubulin by microtubule-associated SET8 [PDF]
Microtubules are critical for mitosis, cell motility, and protein and organelle transport, and are a validated target for anticancer drugs. However, tubulin regulation and recruitment in these cellular processes is less understood.

Obtaining of the recombinant Rhil7-Cbd fusion protein
Aim. The purpose was to obtain the recombinant fusion protein based on the human interleukin-7 (rhIL7) and cellulose binding domain (CBD). Methods. The DNA sequences encoding rhIL-7 and CBD were subcloned into the pET24a(+). Vector containing the 6His-tag sequence for further chromatographic purification of the target protein. The cells of E.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

The Major Soybean Allergen Gly m Bd 28K Induces Hypersensitivity Reactions in Mice Sensitized to Cow's Milk Proteins [PDF]
Reactions to soy have been reported in a proportion of patients with IgE-mediated cow’s milk allergy (CMA). In this work, we analyzed if Gly m Bd 28K/P28, one of the major soybean allergens, is a cross-reactive allergen with cow milk proteins (CMP).

Development of human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 by yeast display
Human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 are generated by yeast display‐guided selection. These antibodies bind to soluble and cell‐surface forms of TARM1. Also, these antibodies exhibit agonistic activity in the NFAT‐GFP reporter assay, indicating that TARM1 signaling can be functionally modulated by antibodies and suggesting TARM1 as a potential ...

Biochemical analysis of TssK, a core component of the bacterial Type VI secretion system, reveals distinct oligomeric states of TssK and identifies a TssK–TssFG subcomplex [PDF]
Gram-negative bacteria use the Type VI secretion system (T6SS) to inject toxic proteins into rival bacteria or eukaryotic cells. However, the mechanism of the T6SS is incompletely understood. In the present study, we investigated a conserved component of
