Intelligent Reconfigurable surface technique for Multiple Antenna Communication System
The throughput growth of the coming wireless communication schemes requires the deployment of more base stations at a lower power use. We were inspired by the newly recommended intelligent reconfigurable surface technique (IRS) to address this issue ...

Design and validation of scalable reconfigurable intelligent surfaces
In this paper, we share our experience in designing, prototyping, and empirically characterizing RF Switch-based Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS). Our RIS design consists of arrays of patch antennas, delay lines, and programmable radio-frequency (RF) switches, enabling 3D beamforming passively, without active RF components.

Performance Characterization of Continuous Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces
We consider a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) that can implement a phase rotation continuously over the whole surface rather than via a finite number of discrete elements. Such an RIS can be considered a design for future systems where advances in metamaterials make such an implementation feasible or as the limiting case where the number of ...

TRIM: Simultaneous Thermometry, Ranging, and Imaging via a Monolithic Metalens
ABSTRACT While metasurfaces offer a pathway beyond the discrete architectures of conventional LWIR systems, physically fusing high‐precision thermometry and passive ranging onto a single metalens remains a formidable challenge. Here, we demonstrate a monolithic, dual‐focus metalens capable of simultaneous multidimensional sensing.
