Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antennas With Enhanced Gain
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2011Rectangular dielectric resonator antennas were designed to operate at high-order modes to achieve enhanced gain. A simple model was developed to predict the radiation patterns of the higher-order modes. Prototypes designed at 11 GHz showed gains of up to 5 dB above those obtained by the fundamental mode.

B11. Rectangular dielectric resonator transmitarrays
2012 29th National Radio Science Conference (NRSC), 2012This paper demonstrated the design of a novel transmitarray antenna using rectangular dielectric resonator antenna (RDRA) elements. Two different constructions for the unit cell of the transmitarray are used. The first one consists of two identical RDRA elements on either side of a substrate material.

Miniaturization of Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna
2020 2nd International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communication Control and Networking (ICACCCN), 2020In this paper, we are proposing a miniaturization technique of rectangular DRA. In this technique, we are using a metallic patch to miniaturize the size of the RDRA. By changing the height of the metallic patch inside the DRA the resonant frequency of RDRA is significantly moved in backward way. Usually, the minimum height of metallic patch up to which

Resonant frequency of rectangular dielectric resonator antenna
2017 8th Annual Industrial Automation and Electromechanical Engineering Conference (IEMECON), 2017In this paper, Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna (RDRA) is investigated theoretically. To investigate the RDRA, the antenna is assumed as a cavity. The wave equation is solved inside the cavity antenna. Simple transcendental equation is given here to predict the resonant frequency of RDRA. One antenna prototype is simulated to verify our theory.

Dual-band Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna
2019 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting, 2019A compact dual-band microstrip line fed rectangular dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) with defected partial ground plane structure operating at X and Ku-band application is presented. The optimized design resonates at 10.4 GHz and 12.8 GHz. The performance of the antenna with respect to design parameters is studied by carrying out the parametric study

Frequency-Reconfigurable Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2013A coplanar waveguide (CPW) reconfigurable dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is presented and investigated. The DRA is capable of frequency tuning at three different frequency bands between 3.45 and 6.77 GHz. The overall size of the antenna is 50 × 57 mm2. The dielectric material is a rectangular block of ceramic with a permittivity of 15. Two switches,

Compact Differential Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2010In this letter, a compact differential hollow dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is investigated. The hollow DRA is fed by two identical conducting strips connected to the outputs of an underlaid 180° hybrid coupler (rat-race). With this compact configuration, loss of the feed network can be minimized and, thus, the differential gain can be made about ...

An integrated rectangular dielectric resonator antenna
Proceedings of IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2002The use of a rectangular dielectric resonator as an antenna element is reported. The resonator is excited in its lowest order magnetic dipole mode using a microstrip line-slot combination. Measured results on the proposed antenna configuration show that the antenna has a bandwidth of about 10% and that its far field pattern is similar to that of a ...
