Robustized recursive estimation with applications

Information Sciences, 1976
Abstract In this paper two convergence theorems for the robustized scalar versions of the Robbins-Monro and the Kiefer-Wolfowitz procedures are presented. In addition, two information processing oriented examples are included which illustrate these recursive estimators and their robustness.

Recursive Estimation in Diffusion Model

SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 1981
This paper is concerned with the nonlinear identification of dynamical systems disturbed by white noise, an important problem in control engineering. A nonparametric identification procedure for such systems which are usually described by a diffusion model is given in Banon (1977), (1978), where weak consistency of estimators has been obtained and ...

Recursive Harmonic Estimation

Information Sciences, 1975
Abstract Recursive Harmonic Estimation is a technique for modeling almost periodic random processes. A distinguishing feature of this technique is that the number of harmonics which are estimated is predetermined independently of the length of the data interval.

Recursive Estimation of Motion Parameters

Computer Vision and Image Understanding, 1996
A robust algroithm that estimates the motion parameters recursively from a sequence of noisy images is presented here. We propose the use of the least median of squares method in conjunction with a computationally efficient recursive scheme. The method works well even when nearly half of the features have been matched very poorly.
