Accurately estimating aboveground dry biomass (ADB) is crucial. The ADB of rice has primarily been estimated using vegetation indices with several discrete bands; nevertheless, these indices cannot take advantage of continuous bands available with ...

Does the stellar disc flattening depend on the galaxy type? [PDF]
We analyze the dependence of the stellar disc flatness on the galaxy morphological type using 2D decomposition of galaxies from the reliable subsample of the Edge-on Galaxies in SDSS (EGIS) catalogue. Combining these data with the retrieved models of the

We present the asteroseismic analysis of 1948 F-, G- and K-type main-sequence and subgiant stars observed by the NASA {\em Kepler Mission}. We detect and characterise solar-like oscillations in 642 of these stars.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Universal thermodynamic bounds on nonequilibrium response with biochemical applications
Diverse physical systems are characterized by their response to small perturbations. Near thermodynamic equilibrium, the fluctuation-dissipation theorem provides a powerful theoretical and experimental tool to determine the nature of response by ...

Hydrodynamical Survey of First Overtone Cepheids [PDF]
A hydrodynamical survey of the pulsational properties of first overtone Galactic Cepheids is presented. The goal of this study is to reproduce their observed light- and radial velocity curves.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Accurately Shaping Supercontinuum Spectrum via Cascaded PCF
Shaping is very necessary in order to obtain a wide and flat supercontinuum (SC). Via numerical simulations, we accurately demonstrated shaping the SC using the fiber cascading method to significantly increase the width as well as the flatness of the ...
