Arsenic in the groundwater aquifers of the Venetian Plain: geochemical modelling and occurrence of As-sulfides minerals, a review of data from the medio Brenta domain (Italy)

open access: yesAcque Sotterranee
The Venetian Plain is known for areas with high concentrations of arsenic (As) in groundwater (up to more than 400 μg/L; exceptionally 647 μg/L, in selected areas). A study area was chosen, north of Padua, which exhibits typical residential, industrial,

Redox-Neutral Borylation of Aryl Sulfonium Salts via C–S Activation Enabled by Light

open access: yes, 2019
Reported here is a novel photoinduced strategy for the borylation of aryl sulfonium salts using bis(pinacolato)diboron as the boron source. This method exploits redox-neutral aryl sulfoniums to gain access to aryl radicals via C–S bond activation upon ...

Ionic Precursors Transformed Into Vinyl Acetate Synthesis Catalyst via Reaction‐Driven Restructuring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that a simple physical mixture of Pd and Au ionic precursors, KOAc promoter, and SiO2 support can transform into a highly active vinyl acetate synthesis catalyst through reaction‐driven restructuring. The results highlight reaction‐induced restructuring as an innovative and sustainable catalyst design strategy.
