In this study, the preparation techniques for silver‐based gas diffusion electrodes used for the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide (eCO2R) are systematically reviewed and compared with respect to their scalability. In addition, physics‐based and data‐driven modeling approaches are discussed, and a perspective is given on how modeling can aid ...

Dual‐atom catalysts featuring varying spatial configurations of metal sites (Pt1Fe1 DACs) are employed to systematically investigate the influence of spatial arrangements on the electronic structure and catalytic activity of active sites. Notably, the 3D asymmetric Pt1Fe1‐TAC dimer, featuring strong interatomic interactions, demonstrates superior ...

Bio‐Inspired Nanoarchitected LiFePO4 Cathodes
Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) is synthesized using a bio‐inspired method, using acidic macromolecules similar to those found in many calcareous mineralized organisms to modulate the morphology and crystal growth of LFP‐carbon composite particles. The observations from this process indicate a non‐classical crystallization process, which subsequently ...

Polyferrocene block copolymers are synthesized and assembled into micron‐sized polymer cubosomes with double diamond lattice and pore diameter of ≈30 nm. The ferrocene functionality is retained within the polymer cubosome wall as demonstrated on supramolecular modification, and oxidative disassembly.

Dual‐cation site engineering unlocks stable and fast sodium storage in Na4VMn(PO4)3 cathodes. Li+ at Na2 suppresses Jahn‐Teller distortion, while K+ at Na1 expands ion channels, enabling synchronized V/Mn redox and quasi‐single‐phase kinetics. This atomic‐level strategy achieves ultralong cycling stability, high‐rate capability, and full cell viability

Artificial Amorphous Interface Matters for Boosting High‐Voltage Stable LiCoO2 Cathode
The amorphization of phosphate‐based surface layer with favorable Li‐ion conducting kinetics is realized by precisely tailored atomic‐level fabrication. This amorphous coating enables the lithium cobalt oxide (LCO) cathode superior high‐voltage rate capability and cycling performance, owing to the fast interfacial ionic transport and maintained ...

The redox potential of leghaemoglobin
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Bioenergetics, 1972Abstract 1. Soybean leghaemoglobin was prepared in two stages of purity (a) “non-fractionated” and (b) fractionated by known chromatographic procedures into three components. 2. Redox potential determinations of these preparations were carried out by potentiometric titration. At pH 7.0 all preparations gave a mid-point potential close to +0.22 V and

Redox Potential Imaging Sensor
Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1996We developed a chemical imaging sensor which can be used to visualize the spatial distribution and temporal evolution of redox potential in chemical reaction systems. It is based on the light-addressable potentiometric sensor (LAPS), in which the insulating surface is found to be sensitive not only to the pH value but also to the redox potential ...

The Redox Potential Scale is the scientist’s way (in a totally artificial way) to look at Mother Earth. Initially, this method might appear complex because it attempts to summarize the idea that the essence of all life is the result of photosynthesis, which produces electron flow and enables energy to be transformed so that it can be used by living ...
