The research group from the Faculty of Automation, Computers and Electronics, University of Craiova, Romania, started working in research field of hyper redundant robots over 25 years ago. The experiments used cables and DC motors or stepper motors. The rotation of these motors rotates the cables which by correlated screwing and unscrewing of their ...

A Novel Approach for a Inverse Kinematics Solution of a Redundant Manipulator
Kinematically-redundant manipulators present considerable difficulties, especially from the view of control. A high number of degrees of freedom are used to control so-called secondary tasks in order to optimize manipulator motion.

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Design and Motion Planning of a Biped Climbing Robot with Redundant Manipulator
A novel robot capable of performing maintenance and inspection tasks for railway bridges is proposed in this paper. Termed CMBOT (climbing manipulator robot), the robot is a combination of a five-degrees-of-freedom (5-Dof) biped climbing robot with two ...

We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

A Review of the Space Trajectory Planning of Redundant Manipulator
The redundant manipulator can use redundant degree of freedom to avoid obstacles, but it does not affect the operation of the end effecter. So comparing with general non- redundant manipulator, the redundant manipulator has obvious advantages for dealing ...

Stiffness Model of a 3-DOF Parallel Manipulator with Two Additional Legs
This paper investigates the stiffness modelling of a 3-DOF parallel manipulator with two additional legs. The stiffness model in six directions of the 3-DOF parallel manipulator with two additional legs is derived by performing condensation of DOFs for ...

Multi-point impedance control for redundant manipulators [PDF]
This paper proposes an impedance control method called the multi-point impedance control (MPIC) for redundant manipulators. The method can not only control end-effector impedance, but also regulate impedances of several points on the links of the manipulator, which are called virtual end-point impedances, utilizing arm redundancy.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
