On the simple groups of Suzuki and Ree [PDF]
We develop a new and uniform approach to the three families of simple groups of Lie type discovered by Suzuki and Ree, without using Lie algebras. A novel type of algebraic structure is defined, whose automorphism groups are the groups in question.

Introduction: Weight loss in old age increases the risk of sarcopenia caused by the age-related reduction of fat-free mass (FFM). Due to the strong correlation between FFM and resting energy expenditure (REE), the maintenance of this must also be ...

Rare earth element geochemistry of the Late Quaternary tephra and volcano-clastic sediments from the Pachuca sub-basin, north-eastern Basin of Mexico [PDF]
Chondrite normalized REE patterns, fractionations of light (La/Sm), heavy (Gd/Yb) and total (La/Yb) REE and Eu anomalies of the Late Quaternary multi-layer tephra fall deposits and overlying volcano-clastic sediments deposited in the Pachuca sub-basin ...

The thermic effect of sugar-free Red Bull: Do the non-caffeine bioactive ingredients in energy drinks play a role? [PDF]
Objective: Consumption of energy drinks is increasing amongst athletes and the general public. By virtue of their bioactive ingredients (including caffeine, taurine, glucuronolactone, and B-group vitamins) and paucity of calories, sugar-free “diet ...

Development of a new equation and validation of earlier resting energy expenditure predicting equations in adults living in Tehran [PDF]
Background: Predictive equations have been considered as a practical approach for estimating resting energy expenditure (REE) across multiple populations, but their accuracy for each community remains to be determined.

Are Raw BIA Variables Useful for Predicting Resting Energy Expenditure in Adults with Obesity? [PDF]
This study aimed to develop and validate new predictive equations for resting energy expenditure (REE) in a large sample of subjects with obesity also considering raw variables from bioimpedance-analysis (BIA).

Measurement of Resting Energy Expenditure with Indirect Calorimetry and Predictive Equations in Healthy Young Adults: A Cross-sectional Study [PDF]
Introduction: Resting Energy Expenditure (REE) is the main determinant of energy requirements. An inaccurate estimation of REE can lead to the over or under-prediction of energy requirements.

Petrography and geochemistry of the enriched basaltic shergottite Northwest Africa 2975 [PDF]
We present a study of the petrology and geochemistry of basaltic shergottite Northwest Africa 2975 (NWA 2975). NWA 2975 is a medium-grained basalt with subophitic to granular texture.
