Secured Encryption scheme based on the Ree groups

open access: yesCoRR
An improved design of a cryptosystem based on small Ree groups is proposed. We have changed the encryption algorithm and propose to use a logarithmic signature for the entire Ree group. This approach improves security against sequential key recovery attacks.

On the divisor class group of Rees-algebras

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 1985
Let \(I\) be an ideal of height \(g\) in a Noetherian domain \(R\), and assume that the associated graded ring \(R/I\oplus I/I^2\oplus\ldots\) is a domain. Let \(S\) be the Rees algebra \(R[It]\), \(t\) an indeterminate. Let \(\text{CL}(S)\) and \(\text{CL}(R)\) be the class groups of \(S\) and \(R\). If \(J\) is a divisorial ideal in \(R\) or \(S\), \(

Inverse sky islands: lowland river valleys drive microbial divergence while high elevations select for convergence in massive mountain ecosystems

open access: yesEcography, EarlyView.
Mountain ecosystems are often interpreted through the lens of the ‘sky island' model, where high‐elevation habitats function as isolated archipelagos. However, this model's applicability to massive, topographically complex mountain ranges where highlands are continuous and lowlands are fragmented remains untested.

A novel equation synthesis for estimating resting energy expenditure in prostate cancer patients

open access: yesBMC Urology
Background An accurate calculation of energy expenditure (REE) is necessary for estimating energy needs in malign prostate cancer. The purpose of this research was to evaluate the accuracy of the established novel equation for predicting REE in malign ...

Role of selenium in the pathophysiology of cardiorenal anaemia syndrome

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 770-780, April 2025.
Abstract Chronic kidney disease (CKD) and cardiovascular disease (CVD) have multiple bidirectional mechanisms, and anaemia is one of the critical factors that are associated with the progression of the two disorders [referred to as cardiorenal anaemia syndrome (CRAS)].

Trajectories of resting energy expenditure and performance of predictive equations in children hospitalized with an acute illness and malnutrition: a longitudinal study

open access: yesScientific Reports
There is scarce data on energy expenditure in ill children with different degrees of malnutrition. This study aimed to determine resting energy expenditure (REE) trajectories in hospitalized malnourished children during and after hospitalization.

A simple construction of the Ree groups of type 2F4

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 2010
The large Ree groups \(^2F_4(2^{2n+1})\) were originally discovered by \textit{R. Ree} [Am. J. Math. 83, 432-462 (1961; Zbl 0104.24705)] by twisting the groups \(F_4(2^{2n+1})\) of Lie type with an outer automorphism. A construction in terms of buildings was given by \textit{J. Tits} [Am. J. Math.

Vicious Pictures? How National Socialist Propaganda Glorifying Adolf Hitler Affects Contemporary Viewers' Emotions

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Social Psychology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The atrocities committed during the Nazi era still affect Germany's image in the world and Germans' feelings about their country's past. Herein, we investigate how historical propaganda images glorifying Adolf Hitler influence these feelings. Prior scholars have raised concerns that such materials might communicate distorted images of the past

Fractionation of Milligram Quantities of Gadolinium and Terbium Ions by Annular Free‐Flow Isotachophoresis

open access: yesELECTROPHORESIS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The fractionation of milligram quantities of gadolinium (Gd) and terbium (Tb) ions is demonstrated using annular free‐flow isotachophoresis (ITP) with ammonium as the leading ion and hydronium as the terminating ion, and α‐hydroxyisobutyric acid (HIBA) and acetate as lanthanide complexing ligands.
