Grothendieck–Serre formula and bigraded Cohen–Macaulay Rees algebras
The Grothendieck–Serre formula for the difference between the Hilbert function and Hilbert polynomial of a graded algebra is generalized for bigraded standard algebras.

Suzuki–Ree groups and Tits mixed groups over rings [PDF]
It is shown that Suzuki-Ree groups can be easily defined by means of comparing two fundamental representations of the ambient Chevalley group in characteristic 2 or 3. This eliminates the distinction between the Suzuki-Ree groups over perfect and imperfect fields and gives a natural definition for the analogues of such groups over commutative rings. As

Sustainable Metal Recovery From E‐Waste: Exploring Greener Leachates in Hydrometallurgical Processes
Recycling of electronic waste to synthesize valuable metals using green leachate. ABSTRACT The accumulation of electronic waste (e‐waste) poses environmental hazards and leads to the loss of valuable metals such as gold, silver, copper, and rare earth elements.

Hilbert schemes and Rees algebras
The topic of this thesis is algebraic geometry, which is the mathematical subject that connects polynomial equations with geometric objects. Modern algebraic geometry has extended this framework by replacing polynomials with elements from a general ...

ABSTRACT Objective This study assessed changes in body composition and 24‐h energy metabolism at 6 and 12 months after initiation of a 1‐month very low‐calorie ketogenic diet (VLCKD) in women with obesity. Methods Seventeen women with obesity who completed a 1‐month VLCKD underwent a 4‐week transition phase with carbohydrate reintroduction, followed by

Fruit‐quality tradeoffs generate asymmetry in plant reliance on mutualistic frugivores
Seed dispersal is a fundamental ecological process influencing the evolution of plant life‐history strategies. In fleshy‐fruited plants dispersed by mutualistic frugivores, variation in fruit traits among closely related species may shape the temporal and spatial dynamics of dispersal events critical to population success.

The multiplicity and the Cohen–Macaulayness of extended Rees algebras of equimultiple ideals
Let I be an equimultiple ideal of Noetherian local ring A. This paper gives some multiplicity formulas of the extended Rees algebras T=A[It,t-1].

Enforcing environmental law in the Amazon
Abstract This article identifies the underlying obstacles to enforcement of laws against environmental crimes such as illegal logging, mining and ranching. With four departments (provinces) from Colombia as case studies, it assesses enforcement of the country's main environmental law, Law 2111, which is one of Latin America's strongest. The article has

Multi-Rees algebras on principal ideal rings
When $R$ is a Noetherian ring and we have a family of ideals in which every ideal contains at least one nonzero divisor, then it is already known that the defining ideal of the multi-Rees algebra of these ideals is equal to a saturated ideal. In such a case to get the defining ideal of the multi-Rees algebra we only need to saturate the first syzygies ...

Algèbre de Rees et Fibre spéciale
This work is at the same time in Algebraic Geometry and Commutative Algebra. The first part of this thesis studies the Rees ring (blow--up ring) and the fiber cone of a lattice ideal of codimenson 2 in a polynomial rings.
