Reference Crop Evapotranspiration from Temperature
Applied Engineering in Agriculture, 1985MEASURED lysimeter evapotranspiration of Alta fescue grass (a cool season grass) is taken as an index of reference crop evapotranspiration (ETo). An equation is presented that estimates ETo from measured values of daily or mean values of maximum and minimum temperature. This equation is compared with various other methods for estimating ETo.

Reference crop evapotranspiration determined with a modified Makkink equation
Hydrological Processes, 1998A modified version of the Makkink equation is shown to be a suitable alternative for Penman's formula for the determination of the crop reference evapotranspiration Eref that is used in the so-called crop factor approach. Makkink's equation requires solar radiation and temperature data only. Since 1987 the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute has

Neural computing modeling of the reference crop evapotranspiration
Environmental Modelling and Software, 2012Reference crop evapotranspiration (ET"o) estimation is of importance in irrigation water management for the calculation of crop water requirements and its scheduling, in rainfall-runoff modeling and in numerous other water resources studies. Due to its importance, several direct and indirect methods have been employed to determine the reference crop ...

Sensitivity analysis of the reference crop evapotranspiration in a humid region
Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2019This study examined the sensitivity of reference crop evapotranspiration (ET0) to climatic variables in a humid region in Iran. ET0 was estimated using the FAO-56 Penman-Monteith (PMF-56), Blaney-Criddle (BC), and Hargreaves-Samani (HG) methods. Sensitivity analysis was performed by two distinct methods which were (i) changing the value of a certain ...

Trends in reference crop evapotranspiration in Urmia Lake basin
Arabian Journal of Geosciences, 2020Evapotranspiration is one of the main important components of hydrologic cycle. Trend analysis of reference crop evapotranspiration (ET0) provides useful information for understanding the crop water requirements associated with climate change. In this study, monotonic trends were analyzed in monthly, seasonal, and annual timescales at the nine stations
