CYLENDRCAL BENDING OF COMPOSITE PLATES USING REFINED PLATE THEORY
International Journal of Advanced Technology in Civil Engineering, 2013In this paper, Cylindrical bending of composite plates using refined plate theory is presented. The theory accounts for the parabolic variation of shear strains through the thickness of plate. Hence does not require shear correction factor. The displacement field of the theory contains two variables same as that of first order shear deformation theory.

Refined hyperbolic shear deformation plate theory
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part C: Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science, 2014The paper presents a novel shear deformation plate theory involving only two variables. Taking a cue from exact three-dimensional theory of elasticity solutions for a plate, hyperbolic functions are used for describing displacement variation across plate thickness.
