Mechanistic Origin of Capacity Limitation in Sidorenkite‐Type Na3‐xFe(PO4)(CO3) Carbonophosphate Cathodes for Na‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The potential–capacity profile reveals a one‐electron limitation in sidorenkite Na3−xFe(PO4)(CO3). Structural analysis shows that Fe4+ formation induces lattice strain and suppresses electronic conductivity, blocking further Na extraction. These findings establish key design rules: preserve crystallinity, avoid Jahn–Teller–active d4 configurations, and

Stochastic Locomotion Emerging From Body–Environment Interactions in a Mexican Jumping Bean–Inspired Robot

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Inspired by the Mexican jumping bean, this study presents a centimeter‐scale, electronics‐free robot that merges principles from both the animal and plant kingdoms. A thermo‐responsive actuator mimicking larval motion, enclosed within a uniquely shaped plant‐seed‐inspired shell, generates jumping, rolling, flipping, sliding, and climbing through ...

AI‐Based Immortality: The Ethical Advantage of the Aretai Approach

open access: yesAI &Innovation, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The convergence of artificial intelligence, digital identity technologies, and biogerontological ambitions has produced a novel set of philosophical problems that have not yet been adequately addressed within mainstream bioethical discourse. Digital life extension—encompassing AI‐generated avatars, neural data preservation, mind uploading, and

One‐Step Access to Ultra‐Bright Macrocyclic Oligo‐BODIPYs Featuring Long‐Lived Cyclic Excitons

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Strong Fluorescence Meets Long Lifetimes: A template‐free, one‐step synthesis affords a series of methylene‐bridged macrocyclic oligo‐BODIPYs combining strong fluorescence with exceptionally long fluorescence lifetimes. Steady‐state and time‐resolved optical spectroscopy reveal unique excitonic coupling conditions and unusual size‐dependent ...

A National Survey of Informal Supporters' Experiences and Views of Behaviour Support Practitioners in the National Disability Insurance Scheme

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines informal supporters' experiences and views of NDIS behaviour support practitioners, including engagement, information needed to support selection, and perceptions of practitioners' knowledge, skill, and practice. It reports data from a cross‐sectional online survey of 123 informal support providers of participants receiving

Baseline podocyte‐associated state and persistent cell–matrix transcriptional programs are associated with BALB/c substrain differences in adriamycin nephropathy

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Two closely related BALB/c substrains exhibit different early responses to adriamycin (ADR)‐induced nephropathy. BALB/cByJcl mice showed lower baseline WT1‐positive nuclei counts and NPHS1 immunoreactivity than BALB/cAJcl mice, together with extracellular matrix and integrin programs that were enriched at baseline and persisted at Day 5.
