Design and Characterisation of All‐Dielectric Metasurface Reflector for mmWave Antennas

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas &Propagation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This study presents an all‐dielectric artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) operating at 77 GHz with zero‐phase reflection, featuring a −1‐dB reflection bandwidth of 3.6 and 8.2 GHz for ± 45° and ± 90° reflection phases, respectively. Simulation and measurement results validate the design's performance while highlighting discrepancies attributed to ...

Generation of Wideband Tunable Orbital Angular Momentum Vortex Waves Using Graphene Metamaterial Reflectarray

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In this paper, a wideband tunable reflectarray consisting of a graphene-based metamaterial structure has been developed to generate an orbital angular momentum (OAM) vortex wave in terahertz.

Open Resonator System for Reflectarray Elements Characterization

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2012
An open resonator system is proposed in this work to study the phase behavior of reflectarrays cells. The characterization of the single reflectarray element is performed by assuming a Gaussian plane wave normally incident on an infinite periodic array ...

Folded reflectarray antenna

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1998
A novel folded reflectarray antenna is presented. This antenna combines a twist and focusing reflector concept in a single printed structure. Together with a printed grid, a low profile and high gain antenna results. A test antenna in the 20 GHz range was designed, fabricated and tested.

An optical reflectarray nanoantenna: The concept and design

open access: yesOptics Express, 2009
This paper presents the concept and design of a reflectarray nanoantenna at optical frequencies whose elements are nano-sized concentric spherical particles with the core made of ordinary dielectrics and the shell made of a plasmonic material. Modeling approaches based on finite difference time domain (FDTD) numerical method and dipole-modes scattering

Bandwidth enhancement of aperture-coupled reflectarrays

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2006
An aperture-coupled reflectarray element with a reduced inter-element spacing is proposed. Bandwidth improvements are demonstrated by a smooth and similar behaviour of the phase design curves when properly decreasing the unit cell size. Experimental validations are reported for the measured radiation patterns of two reflectarray propotypes with ...
