Optofluidic two-dimensional grating volume refractive index sensor
Applied Optics, 2016We present an optofluidic reservoir with a two-dimensional grating for a lab-on-a-chip volume refractive index sensor. The observed diffraction pattern from the device resembles the analytically obtained fringe pattern. The change in the diffraction pattern has been monitored in the far-field for fluids with different refractive indices.

A Novel Nanometeric Plasmonic Refractive Index Sensor
IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology, 2010A novel surface plasmon-polariton (SPP) refractive index sensor based on the coupling of a split waveguide mode with a cavity mode in the metal is proposed and studied in this paper. Both analytic and simulated results show that the resonant wavelength of the sensor has a linear relationship with the refractive index of materials under sensing.

Refractive index sensor based on magnetoplasmonic crystals

Multipoint optic refractive index sensor for liquids
2009 14th OptoElectronics and Communications Conference, 2009The theoretical and experimental analysis of a multipoint fibre optic refractive index sensor is presented in this work. Experimental characterisation of the sensor shows excellent agreement with numerical analysis and a resolution in the order of 10−3.

Optical fiber-tip microfluidic refractive-index sensors
CLEO Pacific Rim Conference, 2018We present a miniature refractive-index sensor based on a fiber-top suspended mirror device. An optical 3D $\mu$ -printing technology was demonstrated to fabricate ultrathin suspended diaphragms on the end face of optical fiber for microfluidic sensing.

Refractive index sensor based on fiber laser
