Comparison of early visual outcomes after SMILE using VISUMAX 800 and VISUMAX 500 for myopia: a retrospective matched case–control study

open access: yesScientific Reports
VISUMAX 800 was introduced to improve the patient experience and clinical outcomes of small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE). This was a retrospective, matched, and case–control study (1:2) controlled for preoperative central corneal thickness and ...

Magnetically Controlled Reversible Photomagnetic Nanoactuators for Dynamic Contrast Enhancement in Optical Coherence Tomography

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Photomagnetic nanoactuators with ≈90% scattering efficiency in the second near‐infrared window are demonstrated to exhibit magnetic field‐controlled modulation of optical scattering and optical coherence tomography signals. These nanoactuators are reversibly assembled and disassembled under the external magnetic field modulation, enabling enhanced ...

Stretchable, Multiplexed, and Bimodal Sensing Electronic Armor for Colonoscopic Continuum Robot Enhanced by Triboelectric Artificial Synapse

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Colonoscopic continuum robots lack sensing, endangering intestinal tissue. An ideal sensing array is hard to integrate. This work introduces a 3D crosslinked stretchable E‐armor with full‐coverage and multiplexing. It has bimodal sensing, forms a triboelectric synapse, uses CNN‐LSTM, and has a hydrogel and innovative triboelectric materials.

Endothelial cell viability comparing Eusol-C vs Optisol-GS as corneal preservation medium

open access: yesRevista Médica del Hospital General de México, 2023
Introduction: Optisol-GS is the most widely used corneal preservation medium worldwide, there is little evidence to compare it against Eusol-C as a corneal preservation medium.
