Furnaces with a refractory-concrete lining
Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, 2006Advantages of concrete over brick linings are indicated. The following furnace descriptions are given: high-temperature furnaces fired by natural gas or fuel oil, furnaces in Claus plants, and furnaces with after-burning of acid gases and an abrasive effect on the lining.

Pneumatically Placed Concrete and Refractory Materials
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace, 1963The pneumatic placement process and its advantages of speed, flexibility and economy are reviewed. Various applications of the process to aerospace support are discussed. Details are given in regard to 1) "hard" refractories applied to launch pads and heat shields, 2) insulating refractory coatings which serve as protection for structural steel and ...

Refractories and Industrial Ceramics, 2020
Matrix systems of many types of cement-free refractory concretes (CFRC) have a certain content of highly dispersed components of silica composition, i.e., silica sols, SiO2 nanoparticles (in HCBS of different compositions), as well as fine silica (“microsilica” MS).

Carborundum refractory concretes based on artificial ceramic binders
PERSPEKTIVNYE MATERIALYThis work considers a method to increase the mechanical strength and corrosion resistance to glass and slag melts of aluminosilicate refractories. For this purpose, artificial ceramic binders (ACB) of mullite-carborundum composition were synthesized using the technology of highly concentrated ceramic binder suspensions (HCCBS).
