Microenvironmental Reprogramming by 3D Anisotropic Cardiac Extracellular Matrix Induces Nuclear Remodeling and Epigenetic Maturation of Chemically Induced Cardiomyocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D anisotropic hydrogel derived from heart extracellular matrix guides cytoskeletal alignment and nuclear remodeling in reprogrammed cardiomyocyte‐like cells. This study reveals how matrix alignment modulates nuclear envelope dynamics and chromatin state, triggering transcriptional and functional maturation.

Research on fiber-solid hybrid picosecond laser technology based on serrated aperture beam shaping

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics
The high beam fill factor of the flat-top laser can effectively increase the output power of the laser without damaging the components. A fiber-solid hybrid high-energy picosecond pulsed laser system was studied, which realized the gain bandwidth ...

A wavelength-preserving all-optical 3r regenerator

open access: yesCommunications, 2004
A novel all-optical 3R regenerator operated in the optically clocked scheme (OC-3R) is presented. The regenerator basically comprises two semiconductor components: an ultra-long semiconductor optical amplifier (UL-SOA) for effective use of fast ...

Terahertz Spectroscopy in the Lab and at Telescopes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The section of the electromagnetic spectrum extending roughly from wavelengths of 3 mm to 30 μm is commonly known as the far-infrared or TeraHertz (THz) region.

Receptor‐Free Identification of Toxic Gases Enabled by Hygroscopic Aqueous Salt Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Water as a gas sensor coating sounds impossible—until it stops evaporating. Here, hygroscopic salt solutions (LiCl, LiBr, H3PO4) form non‐drying aqueous films on CNT chemiresistors under ambient air. Gases partition into these liquid layers, sometimes transforming into water, and generate salt‐specific resistance fingerprints across a four‐channel ...

Generation and Characterization of Mid-Infrared Supercontinuum in Bulk YAG Pumped by Femtosecond 1937 nm Pulses from a Regenerative Amplifier

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
We have demonstrated the generation of supercontinuum (SC) pulses in bulk, using femtosecond pulses directly derived from a Tm:YAP regenerative amplifier. The SC spans from 380 nm−4 μ m.
