Bioenergy Cropping Reduces the Spatiotemporal Scaling of Soil Bacterial Biodiversity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Consistent with patterns observed in plant and animal communities, soil bacterial communities exhibit significant species–time–area and phylogenetic–time–area relationships independent of nested structure. Bioenergy cropping significantly reduces the spatiotemporal scaling rates, particularly in sandy loam soils.

Characteristic functions of regional soils: convergence

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao
Whether from the perspective of engineering application of establishing N-vs relationship curve in a region or as an essential part of regional soil characteristic theory, the number of arrays required for constructing scientific N-vs function is an ...

Real convergence in the CEECs, euro area accession and the role of Romania [PDF]

open access: yes
The paper is aimed at studying the absolute and conditional convergence in the Central and Eastern European countries. Given that these countries have common roots and their economies have experienced similar challenges over time, the regional ...

Tetrastigma Hemsleyanum Polysaccharide Suppresses Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer by Disrupting the Hippo‐YAP/TEAD4‐PDIA4 Axis and Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress Adaptation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) exhibits addiction to chronic endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, which sustains an aggressive metastatic phenotype through activation of the unfolded protein response (UPR). Here, we identify a previously unrecognized “ER‐stress addiction” axis in which the Hippo pathway effector TEAD4 directly ...

Regional Growth and Convergence: The Role of Human Capital in the Portuguese Regions [PDF]

open access: yes
Potentially one of the most important determinants of regional economic growth and convergence is human capital, although due to a lack of data this factor is frequently omitted from econometric studies.

Activation of ERBB4 Pathway Inhibits Pathological Transdifferentiation of Lung Epithelial Progenitors into CD66c+ Basal Cells in Severe Lung Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In fibrotic distal lung regions, CD66c+ basal cells emerge as a pathological state. Using human distal lung organoids, this study identifies CD66c+ basal cells as a pro‐fibrotic state arising through transdifferentiation from secretory, AT2, and basal cells.

A distribution dynamics approach to regional GDP convergence in reunified Germany [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper presents an empirical study of GDP per worker (and per capita) convergence across German labour market regions during 1992 to 2002 using nonparametric techniques. There is evidence for a tendency towards convergence during the observed period,

Convergence of EU-regions. A literature report

open access: yesInvestigaciones Regionales - Journal of Regional Research, 2005
El foco principal de los estudios de convergencia aborda la cuestión de si las economías pobres alcanzan a las economías más ricas en un cierto plazo. El proceso de la convergencia regional en Europa ha generado un creciente interés en los últimos años.

Humanized and Charge‐Optimized CSPG4‐Specific CAR‐T Cells show Enhanced Efficacy against Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CSPG4 is identified as a high‐value, stemness‐associated target in HPV‐negative HNSCC. By implementing rational biophysical engineering, a humanized and charge‐optimized CAR is developed to overcome tonic signaling‐induced exhaustion. This strategy induces a profound transcriptomic shift toward a rejuvenated, stem‐like memory state, significantly ...
