On a fundamental problem in the analysis of cancer registry data [PDF]
In epidemiology research with cancer registry data, it is often of primary interest to make inference on cancer death, not overall survival. Since cause of death is not easy to collect or is not necessarily reliable in cancer registries, some special methodologies have been introduced and widely used by using the concepts of the relative survival ratio

Combining melting curve analysis enhances the multiplexing capability of digital PCR. Here, we developed a 14‐plex assay to simultaneously measure single nucleotide mutations and amplifications of KRAS and GNAS, which are common driver genes in pancreatic cancer precursors. This assay accurately quantified variant allele frequencies in clinical samples

IVOA Recommendation: IVOA Registry Interfaces Version 1.0 [PDF]
Registries provide a mechanism with which VO applications can discover and select resources--e.g. data and services--that are relevant for a particular scientific problem. This specification defines the interfaces that support interactions between applications and registries as well as between the registries themselves.

Loss of proton‐sensing GPR4 reduces tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
G protein‐coupled receptor 4 (GPR4) is a pH‐sensing receptor activated by acidic pH. GPR4 expression is increased in patients with inflammatory bowel disease who are at high risk of developing colorectal cancer. In mouse models, loss of GPR4 attenuated tumor progression. This correlated with increased IL2 and natural killer cell activity.
