Functional Diversity of Neotropical Aquatic Hyphomycetes: Insights Into Environmental Drivers
Biotropica, Volume 57, Issue 6, November 2025.Subtropical streams host diverse hyphomycete assemblages than tropical one's. Larger saprotrophs with diverse conidia shapes dominate in subtropical areas. Cold and oxygenated waters have a positive effect on functional diversity. The sample consisted of 382 Brazilians aged between 18 and 71 (M = 32.18, SD = 12.89), of which 68.06% were female.
