The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Robust bayesian inference in empirical regression models [PDF]
Broadening the stochastic assumptions on the error terms of regression models was prompted by the analysis of linear multivariate t models in Zellner (1976).

Testing for zero-modification in count regression models [PDF]
Count data often exhibit overdispersion and/or require an adjustment for zero outcomes with respect to a Poisson model. Zero-modified Poisson (ZMP) and zero-modified generalized Poisson (ZMGP) regression models are useful classes of models for such ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Modified Ridge Regression With Cook’s Distance for Semiparametric Regression Models
Multicollinearity and influential cases in semiparametric regression models lead to biased and unreliable estimates distorting leverage and residual patterns.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

The flight activity of six species of the flea beetles of the genus Phyllotreta was monitored by means of yellow water traps in three years. The percentage composition of the total catch of adults made up of the species was 29.5% (P.

Multiple inflated negative binomial regression for correlated multivariate count data
This article aims to provide a method of regression for multivariate multiple inflated count responses assuming the responses follow a negative binomial distribution.

Beta-Stacy survival regression models [PDF]
This paper introduces a class of survival models for discrete time-to-event data with random right censoring. Flexible distributions for the survival times are constructed by modelling the random survival functions as discrete-time beta-Stacy processes (
