REGRESSION ANALYSIS: RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN COVID-19 VACCINATION AND POSITIVITY RATE IN INDONESIA
Covid-19 has become a global epidemic since it first emerged in late 2019. Indonesia has made various efforts to prevent Covid-19, both through government policies and mass vaccination.

Difficulties with Regression Analyses of Age-Adjusted Rates
A common type of observational study compares population rates in several regions having differing policies in an effort to assess the effects of those policies. In many studies, particularly in public health and epidemiology, age-adjusted rates are regressed on predictor variables to give a covariance-adjusted estimate of effect; this estimate is ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

The Influence of The Exchange Rate on Imports – Romanian Case Study [PDF]
The worldwide economy is in a continuous process of globalisation and the free circulation of people, workforce, capital, goods, and services is unrestricted, therefore nothing can remain outside the currency transactions.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

On the Convergence Rate of Kernel-Based Sequential Greedy Regression
A kernel-based greedy algorithm is presented to realize efficient sparse learning with data-dependent basis functions. Upper bound of generalization error is obtained based on complexity measure of hypothesis space with covering numbers.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Boosted Beta regression. [PDF]
Regression analysis with a bounded outcome is a common problem in applied statistics. Typical examples include regression models for percentage outcomes and the analysis of ratings that are measured on a bounded scale.

Estimating litter decomposition rate in single-pool models using nonlinear beta regression. [PDF]
Litter decomposition rate (k) is typically estimated from proportional litter mass loss data using models that assume constant, normally distributed errors.
