Monitoring of circulating tumor DNA allows early detection of disease relapse in patients with operable breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

On Generalized Simple P-injective Rings [PDF]

open access: yesAl-Rafidain Journal of Computer Sciences and Mathematics, 2005
In this work, we study generalized simple P-injective rings. New properties of such rings are given, and a characterization of division rings and strongly regular rings in terms of GSP rings is obtained.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Rings Over Which Certain Modules Are YJ-Injective [PDF]

open access: yesKirkuk Journal of Science, 2009
In this paper we continue to study the concept of YJ-injectivity which was first introduced by Ming in 1985. Furthermore, we give some characterizations and properties for it.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

From regular modules to von Neumann regular rings via coordinatization [PDF]

open access: yesRomanian Journal of Mathematics and Computer Science, 2014
In this paper we establish a very close link (in terms of von Neu- mann's coordinatization) between regular modules introduced by Zel- manowitz, on one hand, and von Neumann regular rings, on the other hand: we prove that the lattice L^{fg}(M) of all ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Characterizations of non-associative rings by the properties of their fuzzy ideals

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science, 2019
In this paper, we extend the characterizations of Kuroki [Regular fuzzy duo rings. Inform Sci. 1996;96:119–139], by initiating the concept of fuzzy left (resp.

Crucial parameters for precise copy number variation detection in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded solid cancer samples

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that copy number variations (CNVs) can be reliably detected in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) solid cancer samples using ultra‐low‐pass whole‐genome sequencing, provided that key (pre)‐analytical parameters are optimized.

On n-flat modules and n-Von Neumann regular rings

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2006
We show that each R-module is n-flat (resp., weakly n-flat) if and only if R is an (n,n−1)-ring (resp., a weakly (n,n−1)-ring). We also give a new characterization of n-Von Neumann regular rings and a characterization of weak n-Von Neumann regular rings ...
