Post-Earthquake Fire Punching Shear Behavior of GFRP-Reinforced Slab-Column Connections

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2023
It is not uncommon for reinforced concrete slab-column assembly to experience a punching brittle shear failure type under seismic loading. This research work numerically investigates the punching shear behavior of interior GFRP-reinforcedslab-column ...

2D Magnetic and Topological Quantum Materials and Devices for Ultralow Power Spintronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
2D magnets and topological quantum materials enable ultralow‐power spintronics by combining robust magnetic order with symmetry‐protected, Berry‐curvature‐driven transport. Fundamentals of 2D anisotropy and spin‐orbit‐coupling induced band inversion are linked to scalable growth and vdW stacking.

Construction of Buildings and Structures on Rock Concrete Compensation Slabs when Building in Subsided Areas of Abandoned Coal Mines and Open Pits [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2020
For building in subsided areas of abandoned coal mines and open pits on soils damaged by anthropogenic impact and mining operations, it is proposed to base buildings and structures on a three-layer slab founda- tion including: a solid reinforced concrete

Nonlinear Model for Reinforced Concrete Slabs [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Structural Division, 1978
A nonlinear finite element model is developed to analyze reinforced concrete slabs under monotonically increasing loads. The nonlinear variations in material properties through the depth of the slab are considered. Slabs are modeled as incrementally elastic, anisotropic plates. Axes of anisotropy concide with the slab yield lines.
