Translophagy—A potential link between autophagy impairment and translational errors

Neurodegenerative diseases are characterised by the accumulation of abnormal proteins and protein aggregates, but their origin often remains unknown. We propose that selective autophagy removes damaged protein‐making machinery, preventing errors during protein synthesis.

Adequacy of Decompositions of Relational Databases

AbstractWe consider conditions that have appeared in the literature with the purpose of defining a “good” decomposition of a relation scheme. We show that these notions are equivalent in the case that all constraints in the database are functional dependencies. This result solves an open problem of Rissanen.

Heterodimeric amino acid transporters consist of SLC7 and SLC3 family proteins arranged in a conserved structural organization. The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.
