Poset-valued preference relations [PDF]

open access: yesKybernetika, 2015
Summary: In decision processes some objects may not be comparable with respect to a preference relation, especially if several criteria are considered. To provide a model for such cases a poset valued preference relation is introduced as a fuzzy relation on a set of alternatives with membership values in a partially ordered set.

Some relational structures with polynomial growth and their associated algebras II: Finite generation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The profile of a relational structure $R$ is the function $\varphi_R$ which counts for every integer $n$ the number, possibly infinite, $\varphi_R(n)$ of substructures of $R$ induced on the $n$-element subsets, isomorphic substructures being identified ...

Abstract: The paper provides a general account of value relations. It takes its departure in a special type of value relation, parity, which according to Ruth Chang is a form of evaluative comparability that differs from the three standard forms of comparability: betterness, worseness and equal goodness.
