Age-Related Changes of Elements in the Anterior Commissures and the Relationships Among their Elements

Biological Trace Element Research, 2009
To elucidate compositional changes of the anterior commissure with aging, the authors investigated age-related changes of elements in the anterior commissures and the relationships among their elements. After ordinary dissection at Nara Medical University was finished, the anterior commissures were resected from 45 subjects, ranging in age from 70 to ...

Relationship Between Meniscal Degeneration and Element Contents

Biological Trace Element Research, 2001
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between meniscal degeneration and element contents. The contents of elements (calcium, phosphorus, sulfur, and magnesium) in the menisci from 17 patients with osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee, 6 with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and 2 who underwent the surgical operation for malignant tumors ...

Perceived relationship between elements of a complex display

Ergonomics, 1990
An important aspect of complex control and display layout is the grouping together of functionally related areas. Three experiments on perception of the relationship between elements of a complex display are reported. In the first experiment, subjects were presented with an array of nine plain elements with different element and external aspect ratios ...

Strategic Elements of External Relationships

New Directions for Community Colleges, 1983
AbstractA Comprehensive community college is, to a great extent, the sum of its external relationships, for the totality of these relationships defines the mission, role, and scope of the community college.

Relationships among the transition elements

Foundations of Chemistry, 2011
As part of a series of contributions on patterns in the periodic table, the relationships among the transition metals are examined here in a systematic manner. It is concluded that the traditional method of categorizing transition elements by group or by period is not as valid as by using combinations thereof. From chemical similarities, it is proposed

MOOSE MILK AND HAIR ELEMENT LEVELS AND RELATIONSHIPS

Journal of Wildlife Diseases, 1976
Milk was collected from 21 Alaskan moose (Alces alces gigas) at the Kenai Moose Research Center (MRC), Soldotna, Alaska nad analyzed by atomic absorption spectroscopy for Al, As, Ca, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, K, Mg, Mn, Mo, Na, Ni, Pb, Se and Zn. Hair samples were collected from 100 moose at the MRC to correspond with the lactation period and serve as a ...

Relationship of trace elements and toxic elements in humans’ health

GSC Advanced Research and Reviews
Elements which are detected in small but not precisely known amounts in the living body were called “trace elements” in the past. Recent advances in analytical technologies, such as the development of atomic absorption spectrometry, have made it possible to measure these elements precisely and to determine their functions and the characteristics of ...

A taxonomy of relationships among the elements

Journal of Chemical Education, 1991
This paper does not attempt to present the taxonomy of elements themselves, but rather a more abstract taxonomy of the relationships of the elements.

THE RUINOUS-THIN RELATIONSHIP FOR THREE ELEMENT SETS

International Journal of Algebra and Computation, 2008
Richard Thompson's group F is nonamenable if and only if there exists a ruinous set. It is known that no three element set is ruinous. Here we explicitly construct a family of thin sets for any three element set each of whose trees has three carets. We then show where this construction fails when each of the trees has four or more carets.

Significant Elements in the Relationship of Long-Married Couples

The International Journal of Aging and Human Development, 1980
A descriptive study of factors in the lifestyle of fifty couples married an average of 55.5 years and an average age of seventy-nine years provided data for this report. The non-random sample was heterogeneous using traditional socio-economic indicators.
