Indoor localization of a mobile robot using sensor fusion : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Engineering in Mechatronics with Honours at Massey University, Wellington, New Zealand [PDF]
Reliable indoor navigation of mobile robots has been a popular research topic in recent years. GPS systems used for outdoor mobile robot navigation can not be used indoor (warehouse, hospital or other buildings) because it requires an unobstructed view ...

ABSTRACT As global populations age, cancer is increasingly becoming a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among older adults, particularly in low‐ and middle‐income countries (LMICs). Despite accounting for the majority of new cancer cases and deaths, older individuals remain underrepresented in cancer research, clinical guidelines, and health ...

Adaptive UAV Navigation Method Based on AHRS
To address the inaccuracy of the Constant Acceleration/Constant Velocity (CA/CV) model as the state equation in describing the relative motion state in UAV relative navigation, an adaptive UAV relative navigation method is proposed, which is based on the

Remote Monitoring in Myasthenia Gravis: Exploring Symptom Variability
ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a rare, autoimmune disorder characterized by fluctuating muscle weakness and potential life‐threatening crises. While continuous specialized care is essential, access barriers often delay timely interventions. To address this, we developed MyaLink, a telemedical platform for MG patients.

Shuttle relative navigation of a tethered satellite mission with current on board software [PDF]
A Shuttle mission planned in 1991 will test the feasibility of tethers in space. This mission, a joint effort between Italy and the United States, will connect a satellite (built by the Italians) to the Shuttle with a 20 km long tether.

Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.

Validity of a Wearable Digital Insole for Assessing Gait ON and OFF in Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Gait impairment is a distinctive symptom of Parkinson's disease that negatively impact mobility. We assessed the validity of wearable digital insoles against a validated reference gait analysis system for measuring select gait characteristics in patients with Parkinson's disease. Methods A comparative analysis between digital insoles
