Adaptive UAV Navigation Method Based on AHRS

open access: yesSensors
To address the inaccuracy of the Constant Acceleration/Constant Velocity (CA/CV) model as the state equation in describing the relative motion state in UAV relative navigation, an adaptive UAV relative navigation method is proposed, which is based on the

Why human connection is the true metric of research success

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human‐centred mentorship can be shaped by mentor attributes, actions, intrinsic drive and career ambition. Drawing on reflections across Singapore and France, as well as workshop insights from FEBS‐IUBMB ENABLE 2024, this article shows that human‐centred mentorship creates the conditions for sustainable growth, well‐being and retention in research ...

Introducing relativity in global navigation satellite systems

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, 2007
AbstractToday, the Global Navigation Satellite Systems, used as global positioning systems, are the GPS and the GLONASS. They are based on a Newtonian model and hence they are only operative when several relativistic effects are taken into account. The most important relativistic effects (to order 1/c2) are: the Einstein gravitational blue shift effect

Blood‐based proteomic profiling reveals context‐dependent changes in BCL2‐associated signaling during taxane therapy in breast cancer patients

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemotherapy side effects significantly impact cancer survivors' quality of life. Using protein levels in blood samples from breast cancer patients before and after 12 weeks of taxane treatment, we detected treatment‐dependent changes in calcium signaling and aging pathways associated with cancer recurrence.

Hardware-in-the-loop Rendezvous Simulation using a Vision Based Sensor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
One of the critical issues of a satellite On-Orbit Servicing (OOS) mission is to ensure a safe and reliable Rendezvous and Docking (RvD) process. This most risky part of the mission must be carefully analyzed, simulated and verified before the mission ...

Sequential Mixed Cost-Based Multi-Sensor and Relative Dynamics Robust Fusion for Spacecraft Relative Navigation

open access: yesRemote Sensing
The non-redescending convex functions degrade the filtering robustness, whereas the redescending non-convex functions improve filtering robustness, but they tend to converge towards local minima.
