Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Stability of initial-boundary value problem for quasilinear viscoelastic equations
We investigate the stability of the initial-boundary value problem for the quasilinear viscoelastic equation $$\displaylines{ |u_t|^{\rho}u_{tt}-\Delta u_{tt}-\Delta u+\int_0^tg(t-s)\Delta u(s)ds=0, \quad \text{in }\Omega\times(0,+\infty),\cr u=0 ...

Relaxation measurements in the regime of the second magnetization peak in Nb films
We report on magnetic measurements as a function of field, temperature and time (relaxation) in superconducting Nb films of critical temperature Tc = 9.25 K.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Spin relaxation of conduction electrons in bulk III-V semiconductors
Spin relaxation time of conduction electrons through the Elliot-Yafet, D'yakonov-Perel and Bir-Aronov-Pikus mechanisms is calculated theoretically for bulk GaAs, GaSb, InAs and InSb of both $n$- and $p$-type.

Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

The effect of force amount, age, body weight and bone mineral density (BMD) on the femur's force relaxation response was analysed for 12 donors (age: 56–91 years). BMD and fracture load, FL, were estimated from clinical CT images.

Lower semicontinuity and relaxation of nonlocal $$L^\infty $$-functionals [PDF]
AbstractWe study variational problems involving nonlocal supremal functionals$$\begin{aligned} L^\infty (\Omega ;{\mathbb {R}}^m) \ni u\mapsto \mathrm{ess sup}_{(x,y)\in \Omega \times \Omega } W(u(x), u(y)), \end{aligned}$$L∞(Ω;Rm)∋u↦esssup(x,y)∈Ω×ΩW(u(x),u(y)),where$$\Omega \subset \mathbb {R}^n$$Ω⊂Rnis a bounded, open set and$$W:\mathbb {R}^m\times ...
