We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

A preliminary analysis of eta' -> eta pi pi in chiral theories
Preliminary results for the Dalitz plot distribution of $\eta^\prime\to\eta\pi\pi$ decays in the frameworks of Large-$N_c$ Chiral Perturbation Theory and Resonance Chiral Theory are given.

Liquid pair correlations in four spatial dimensions: Theory versus simulation [PDF]
Using liquid integral equation theory, we calculate the pair correlations of particles that interact via a smooth repulsive pair potential in d = 4 spatial dimensions. We discuss the performance of different closures for the Ornstein-Zernike equation, by

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Life and Death in Andersen's "Grandmother": A Systemic Functional Grammar Analysis
Hans Christian Andersen's "Grandmother" is a well-written short story about life and death. The analysis of the story using Systemic Functional Grammar (SFG) reveals the meaning and ideology which the writer expresses through the work.

Momentum fluctuations of heavy quarks in the gauge-string duality
Using the gauge-string duality, I compute two-point functions of the force acting on an external quark moving through a finite temperature bath of N=4 super-Yang-Mills theory. I comment on the possible relevance of the string theory calculations to heavy

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
