Sensitivity Analysis of Reliability‐Based Optimal Solution
Journal of Engineering Mechanics, 1994The paper examines reliability‐based optimization problems formulated as the minimization of an objective function with reliability constraints that model the requirements for the reliability index of component failure modes. It is briefly described how these problems can be solved.

Urban design-storm sensitivity and reliability
Journal of Hydrology, 1984Abstract Urban-runoff design-storm selection has in the past been arbitrary at times. This has led to inadequate and unreliable capacity design of urban-runoff structures. By utilizing a continuous urban-runoff digital computer model, the frequency response of selected urban basins to a selected historical point-rainfall record is generated.

Reliability Sensitivity Analysis of Dynamical Systems
2019The reliability sensitivity analysis of systems subjected to stochastic loading is considered in this chapter. In particular, the change that the probability of failure undergoes due to changes in the distribution parameters of the uncertain model parameters is utilized as a sensitivity measure.

Sensitivity of Reliability‐Based Optimum Design
Journal of Structural Engineering, 1985A reliability‐based optimization sensitivity analysis technique based on the feasible directions concept is presented for plastic design of redundant structures. This technique is specialized to a formulation of the problem of plastic optimization for minimum weight based on a rational reliability constraint for sizing members.

Reliability calculation based on sensitivity analysis
Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Electronic & Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology, 2011The optimization method based the sensitivity analysis compute structural reliability is proposed. At first, we analyze sensitivity. The stress differentiates with respect to a random variable may obtain the sensitivity. According to the sensitivity analysis, designer should modify data. Second, optimization model is established.

Reliability of Slopes in Sensitive Clays
2017Risk and probabilistic analyses have now had enough applications that make them effective to use in practice. The approach provides more insight than deterministic analyses alone. They help reduce uncertainty and focus on safety and cost-effectiveness.

Sensitivity Measures in Nested Reliability Analyses
Journal of Engineering Mechanics, 1991An introduction is given to the concept of nested reliability analyses in structural engineering. This concept is useful for the reliability assessment of structures subjected to time‐varying loading conditions. The application of the concept for fast integration of the failure probability for a structure during a reference period, such as the design ...
