The microbiome in human skin aging
Age‐related skin changes encompass the well‐known visible phenotypic alterations, together with microbiome dysbiosis and a series of molecular aging hallmarks. These hallmarks characterize not only a fully stablished aged phenotype but also the skin aging process itself.

Regulation of NSL by TAF4A is critical for genome stability and quiescence of muscle stem cells
Acetylation of lamin A/C by the non-specific lethal complex, containing MOF and KANSL2, is instrumental for maintaining nuclear architecture and genome stability, but the mechanisms controlling expression of its components in different cell types are ...

Obesity raises blood levels of PAI‐1, a protein linked to metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease in people with obesity. In female mice fed a high‐fat diet, partially lowering PAI‐1 led to smaller subcutaneous fat cells and lower liver cholesterol, without changing body weight or insulin sensitivity.

Airway Remodeling in a Guinea Pig Model of Chronic Asthma : Its Influence on Airway Responsiveness and Pharmacological Properties of Airway Smooth Muscle, and Its Prevention by Corticosteroids [PDF]
Airway remodeling in bronchial asthma occurs as a result of continuance or repetition of eosinophilic airway inflammation. It has the potential to affect airway responsiveness to nonspecific stimuli and the pharmacological properties of airway smooth ...

CIDEC Restricts Liver Regeneration by Disturbing Lipid Droplet Triglyceride Turnover
The transient accumulation of triglyceride (TG)‐enriched lipid droplets (LDs) in hepatocytes during early liver regeneration is critical for generation but remains mechanistically unclear, particularly the roles of LD fusion‐associated proteins in lipid ...

Aortic root remodeling was originally designed in the late 1980s to treat patients with tricuspid aortic valves (TAVs), aortic regurgitation (AR), and root aneurysm to normalize root dimensions. The late results showed a relevant proportion of patients who required reoperation for recurrent AR.

Emerging experimental and computational methods for studying redox‐regulated structural transitions
Redox reactions can reshape proteins and alter how they behave in cells, with important consequences for health and disease. This review explores emerging experimental and computational approaches for discovering these redox‐sensitive protein switches, revealing their structural effects, and predicting their behavior, opening new opportunities to ...

Synergistic perspectives—How single‐molecule biophysics complement biochemical understanding
In this review, we discuss how ensemble biochemistry and single‐molecule approaches are complementary, outline commonly used single‐molecule techniques, and illustrate their relevance through two representative case studies: chromatin organization by SMC complexes and pathway choice during DNA double‐strand break repair.
