Remote magnetic navigation–guided ventricular tachycardia ablation with continuous-flow mechanical circulatory support [PDF]

open access: yesHeartRhythm Case Reports, 2019
Catheter ablation (CA) is an important treatment option for patients with ischemic heart disease presenting with ventricular tachycardia (VT).1, 2 Various CA techniques are currently available, including remote magnetic navigation (RMN)–guided ablation.2 Most published studies reported superiority of RMN-guided VT ablation over manual ablation, with ...

4D‐Printed Magneto‐Plasmonic Microrobots for Programmable Spatiotemporal De‐Icing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 4D‐printing strategy is introduced to achieve programmable de‐icing devices. By aligning gold–magnetite nanofillers within a photosensitive resin, the printed structures exhibit dual magnetic and plasmonic functionalities, enabling precise spatio‐temporal ice removal through thermoplasmonic effects.

Light‐Actuated Fiber‐Climbing Inchworm Robot Toward Endoluminal Navigation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A kirigami‐inspired soft inchworm robot harnesses optical energy from a customized side‐emitting optical fiber, guaranteeing its propulsion along the fiber body. The wavelength‐selective responsiveness of dye‐functionalized liquid crystal elastomers and the application of temporal illumination patterns enable sequential control of robot components. The
