Prostate ductal adenocarcinoma exhibiting a late recurrence in the anterior urethra 13 years post-total prostatectomy: a case report

open access: yesJournal of Medical Case Reports
Background Prostate ductal adenocarcinoma, a rare histology observed in 0.4–0.8% of all prostate cancers, is treated similarly to acinar adenocarcinoma but tends to have a higher likelihood of metastasis, recurrence, and poorer prognosis.

Mapping CSC‐Mediated Ovarian Cancer Chemoresistance via CXCR4‐PET to Guide Precision Cisplatin Re‐Sensitization Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CXCR4 functions as a potential cancer stem cell‐associated marker linked to chemoresistance in ovarian cancer, and an inhibitor of CXCR4, AMD3100, can enhance the cytotoxic response to cisplatin. Based on these findings, [68Ga]Ga‐Pentixafor positron emission tomography enables selective visualization of CXCR4‐high ovarian cancer, while AMD3100 combined

Low concentrations of saracatinib promote definitive endoderm differentiation through inhibition of FAK-YAP signaling axis

open access: yesCell Communication and Signaling
Optimizing the efficiency of definitive endoderm (DE) differentiation is necessary for the generation of diverse organ-like structures. In this study, we used the small molecule inhibitor saracatinib (SAR) to enhance DE differentiation of human embryonic

A Subset of Pro‐inflammatory CXCL10+ LILRB2+ Macrophages Derives From Recipient Monocytes and Drives Renal Allograft Rejection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers a recipient‐derived monocyte‐to‐macrophage trajectory that drives inflammation during kidney transplant rejection. Using over 150 000 single‐cell profiles and more than 850 biopsies, the authors identify CXCL10+ macrophages as key predictors of graft loss.

Development and validation of a novel nomogram model for predicting delayed graft function in deceased donor kidney transplantation based on pre-transplant biopsies

open access: yesBMC Nephrology
Background Delayed graft function (DGF) is an important complication after kidney transplantation surgery. The present study aimed to develop and validate a nomogram for preoperative prediction of DGF on the basis of clinical and histological risk ...

Engineered CAR‐NKT Extracellular Vesicles Suppress Tumor Progression and Enhance Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TM4SF1‐nanobody engineered CAR‐natural killer T–derived extracellular vesicles (CARTM4SF1‐EVs) provide a cell‐free alternative to CAR‐NKT therapy, achieving potent, targeted antitumor activity with reduced toxicity. CARTM4SF1‐EVs induce immunogenic cell death, remodel the tumor microenvironment, and enhance CD8⁺ T‐cell antitumor immunity.
